Silu Mahadev / Fasi Dega:

Fasi Dega (Silu Mahadev) The Bhaktapur Durbar Square also has the Fasi Dega Temple, which is devoted to Shiva. Within the temple, there were various Hindu god sculptures.

In the Rasuwa district, Gosaikunda is a well-known pilgrimage site. Both Hindu and Buddhist religions consider Gosaikunda to be a sacred site. The Kalkut poison that came out of the sea gave Lord Shankar the name Nilkantha, and the world was destroyed by the poison of the sea. Lord Shankar, who couldn’t stand the taste of the poison, quenched his thirst by drinking cold water from this Gosaikunda, and was enshrined as Silu Mahadev in this place. Thousands of people will gather on Janai Purnima‘s previous Ekadasi to pay their respects to Silu Mahadev. This Silu Mahadev was also founded in Bhaktapur around the 9th century, according to UNESCO records.

This Silu Mahadev , Raja Jitamitra Malla, also known as the Bhaktapur Durbar Square‘s high temple, was built. The earthquake of years ruined this Silu Mahadev temple, which was at its height during Malla Era. During Rana Period‘s reign, this temple was constructed in the dome form. Since this temple will not be open to the public for worship, its name will not spread, and the people’s houses will be hocha at that time. When viewed from afar, the dome-style temple appears to be Pumpkin-shaped, earning it the name Fasideg:. The Yash temple, which is constructed in the form of a pyramid, has five levels.
