It recall days spent sprinting through lush fields and consuming copious amounts of food! Pilot Baba Ashram
Pilot Baba Ashram, which is located in Bhaktapur, is slowly gaining appeal among picnickers. It sits atop a hill and offers breathtaking views of the valley below. The route to Pilot Baba Ashram is blacktopped and well landscaped. The Suryabinayak temple is only a 15-minute ride away.The Ashram is a temple, and visitors must pay a fee to enter. Nagarkot
Nagarkot, a popular picnic site near Kathmandu, is a similar hill station. Nagarkot is around a 2-hour drive from Kathmandu. Similarly, Nagarkot is a well-known climbing and trekking destination. The picnic will allow you to get away from the daily grind and into the embrace of nature. In its deep jungles, you can even spot uncommon birds.
Chonga-Ganesh Temple
You may have noticed large pine trees on a hill if you routinely travel the 6-lane highway in Bhaktapur. That is the Sallaghari picnic area, my friend. The picnic area is located on top of a hill and is surrounded by pine trees. There is a temple here, and numerous weddings and bratabandha rites are held here. Picnics are a great way to get away from the daily grind. Expect to see no mountains or hills because this picnic spot is located in the city.
Sanga Mahadev
People are mainly familiar with Sanga as the location of Lord Shiva’s largest statue. It is near to the Kathmandu valley and may be used as a fast retreat. You can visit the adjacent Newari communities and temples while having a picnic here. Take some shots in front of the massive Shiva monument and take in the colorful atmosphere.
Changunarayan
Because of its cultural significance, the Changunarayan temple has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It also sits atop a hill, giving it a spectacular perspective of the surrounding area. It’s the perfect setting for a picnic. It is quite large, and there are no entrance fees to pay. You will, however, be charged for using the electricity, restrooms, and reserving the site.
