Bojinee Dam - Bhaktapur-Namaste Bhaktapur.Com

Bojinee Dam

Bojinee is a man-made dam on the outskirts of Kalamasi hamlet, 9 kilometers from Kamalbinayak Pond. It is the shortest gateway to Nagarkot view tower and is a little-known lakeside wonder among the townspeople.

Bojinee Dam is a man-made reservoir near Kalamasi Village in Nagarkot. Locals constructed the dam for irrigation purposes. It also resulted in the formation of a tiny lake filled with pure spring water. This location is less well-known, but thanks to the internet, it is becoming more well-known as a beautiful tourist attraction near Kathmandu known as Nagarkot Damsite. A pine forest surrounds the lake.

On the other side of the dam, the open and green landscape is ideal for camping. Free spring water is available 24 hours a day, and firewood can be obtained for free from a nearby pine forest. The location is at the same elevation as Nagarkot. And it’s one of the best spots for camping and barbecuing with friends and family. This 16-foot lake was made by locals for irrigation purposes. It collects water from rivulets that run through Nagarkot‘s lush hardwood forests.

A mossy green lake with cloud reflections and pines with lush green meadows will take your breath away. The valley’s amazing vista, from Banepa Bazar in the east to Chandragiri in the west, can be felt.
