Ghyampe Danda

Gyampe Danda is named after a Ghyampo, a large soil-pot in which water was jointly reserved and given when needed. When there was a severe lack of drinking water in this area, residents built a Ghyampo. This is the vantage point from which you may see a wonderful vista of numerous high mountains.

Ghyampe Danda is situated at a height of roughly 2,000 meters above sea level, surrounded by lush green trees. The entire Kathmandu Valley, as well as many snow-capped mountains, can be seen from here. The government of Nepal‘s recent proclamation that it will become a tourist destination has increased its attractiveness among potential visitors. After gaining blessings from the Gods in the Suryabinayak and Anantalingeswor temples, one can begin their trek. You may reach Ghyampe Danda via Pilot Baba Ashram and the Doleswor Mahadev temple on the other side of the hill if you start from Suryabinayak temple.
