Sanga Mahadev-Kailashnath Mahadev

Mr. Kamal Jain (Founder Hilltake Group), a prominent Nepalese businessman known for producing water tanks, air conditioners, electrical items, PPR and CPVC pipes, saw a vision that became the driving force behind the creation of the world’s tallest Lord Shiva monument (143 feet) on Sanga Hill. The construction, which began in the year 2004 under the constant supervision of Mr. and Mrs. Kamal Jain, was the result of innovation and divine grace. Mr. and Mrs. Kamal Jain have dedicated themselves completely, renouncing social obligations, tirelessly exerting day and night, facing all difficulties, to pay tribute to the deity.

It was a selfless service performed only for the benefit of a social and noble cause, not for profit. It took him seven years to create the world’s highest statue in honor of his goddess of worship. Mr. Matturam Verma, an Indian artist, and his dedicated team of 50-100 Nepalese laborers began and completed the construction work in seven years.

The installation of Kailashnath Mahadev, as the statue is known, demonstrates how divine mercy can transform an obscure bleak mountainous terrain into an amazing tourist destination. The statue, which was composed of cement, concrete, sand, cement, and iron rods and can survive earthquakes and high winds, was polished with 6000 kgs of zinc and copper coating, which was done specifically to protect the monument from bad weather conditions.

The respected Badrikadham Peethadhishwar Anant Shri Vibhushit Shankaracharya Swami Madhava shramji Maharaj from India successfully completed its Pran-Prathistha in June 2010 in front of hundreds of thousands of worshipers. Mr. Sharad Singh Bhandari, Nepal’s following Human Resource and Tourism Minister, designated this location as the country’s eighth most important tourist destination.

Suveksha Shreshtha, a young 12-year-old girl, discovered the face of Lord Buddha on the Statue’s Belly, which is surprisingly a tremendous feat in its sculpture.
